For sale here is Yamaha’s DJX keyboard.  It really is a great value synth, so much so that in the next model up, the Yamaha DJX 11, they removed features! 

So let’s have a brief run-down on what’s included here:

·         The keyboard itself·         A stand·         A pedal, which can be assigned to do different things (I normally keep it on sustain like a real piano pedal)·         A manual on how to work it.  When you first start it up, there’s lots of buttons and this manual (which I printed out) helps with this

The Keyboard

Here are some of my favourite features:

·         Ribbon controller (here you can do some cool pitch bending or raise the tempo)·         You can adjust the bass, resonance, cut-off, groove, assign and resonance with the knobs .·         Midi input and output at the back·         Over 150 different instrument “voices”, including various pianos, drums and samples·         Things can be plugged into the synth, and can then be recorded·         BPM can be changed·         The pitch can be transposed – so I could play the C note but it could come out as ‘B flat’ or even lower! (Up to 12 semitones I think…)
