Description:

"About the coolest guitar Danelectro ever produced. Has 13 drone strings that move from the vibration of the usual 6 strings. Three pickups, 2 for the 6 strings and 1 for the drone strings. Crinkle burgundy finish, 3 point body shape. Has a "buzz" bridge which simulates the sitar sound. The resonation from the buzz bridge vibrates the top of the body and the drone strings. Clear pickguards protecting the drone strings and Vincent Bell's name on the lower 6 string clear pickguard. Body is made entirely from Poplar, with a semi-hollow construction."

This auction is for a top quality Technics electronic piano which are renown for their superb sound.  A great alternative to a traditional piano with the same sound and quality but with the added flexibility and convenience.

The piano has a full sized 7 octave weighted keyboard identical in feel to a traditional piano.

There are six instruments, Grand Piano, Upright Piano, Rock Piano, Electric piano 1 and 2, Vibraphone and a superb pipe organ. It is also possible to use two sounds together adjusting the volume balance between them.

There are three pedals - soft, sustain an sostenuto (sustain just on the notes being played at that moment)

4 types of reverb + none. Celeste. Brilliance, Keyboard touch sensitivity.

There is a built-in metronome with variable volume and speed.

The is a transpose function and also adjustable tuning if paying with other instruments.

The piano has built-in high quality speakers and various line  out and midi connections. There is a headphone socket at the front.

Condition.   The piano is in excellent working condition and all the main functions are working fine. I'm sure the special features are also working too but I have never had the desire to use them.

The casing has taken some knocks. I have added some brackets inside the case to shore up the back corners. There are various knocks on the corners but the main visible faces are quite tidy. At some stage someone must have had a music holder on the top face. There are some small screw holes which I have filled to make them less noticeable.

The keyboard and base are quite substantial and are best suited to being set up permanently in a room rather than being moved around.

Ideally this iten should be for local pick-up only so that the buyer can try it out and check that the condition and functions are as they expected. If you choose not to buy when you call to collect the item, thats fine. I would rather that the buyer satisfies themselves before parting with thier money. I could also deliver within a 50 mile radius if transport is a problem provided the petrol costs were covered.

If a buyer wants to arrange a courier then I will not accept a return of the item as I have no control over the condition that it will arrive in or the expectations that the buyer has of the condition.

Top of the range Tarafdar Sitar made by Chopra in Meerut, North India, new and unplayed. This beautiful instrument is a deep chestnut colour made from tun wood by traditional methods, with extensive carving on the back and decorative inlay.

It has an additional sound gourd attached to the neck behind the large pegs. Full size 48 inches, it is suitable for anyone from student to concert musician and has 19 strings (7 main on top and 12 sympathetic strings underneath), and 20 frets. I've loosened the pegs as they're quite stiff to turn but hold well when tuned, and the instrument produces a rich and resonant sound. This package includes Sitar, sturdy hard board case, a mizrab (plectrum), spare strings, book and tuning guide (in both English and Indian notation). As it is fragile, the sitar, with accessories will be well padded and boxed and delivered by tracked courier. As you can see in the pics, the slide is rust/mark free and moves smoothly.

Also comes with slide oil, case, mouthpiece and two books (one of which shows the slide positionings so you can self teach.  The other book is music.)

Case is solid, padded and very light.

Ideal for learner or intermediate player, but was considered equal to the pro instruments of its day.

Looks like original handle and catches

Has two wood colours on the diagonal faces and the lower end piece; this may be a repair or may be it was originally like that (not really sure) but if it is a repair it looks a professional one. Inside lining looks good (only small area where the strap peg of the instrument has been in contact with the lining).

Unfortunately the age or make is not known (if anyone can help please let me know).

I have very little knowledge of Zithers or harps so I cannot throw any light on the case. I bought it to carry a large guitar pedal but it does not quite fit.

Here on offer is a vintage trombone complete with hard case, the trombone is complete , but I am not sure of the maker , the only marks are the serial number and the word sterling on the end. It is worn but still seems to function ok. The only damage I can find are some small dents on the final bend which I have shown on the photos. The case is old & worn , lined with blue velvet, but  fastens and can still be used.    I do not play music so cannot comment on how well it plays . I have put several photos on the listing , so have a good look at them and feel free to ask any questions. It will be sent by courier within the uk , for anyone outside the uk please ask for a quote for shipping as it is a large  case and may prove quite expensive to send.

Great Value, only £2.99! plus postage.  Now available with blue, black and even pink foam.

These brackets are fully welded and very strong. The angled hanging bars are formed from a single piece of 6mm solid round bar, sleeved with a soft dense blue or black foam tube.  The back part of the bracket is 20mm x 6mm steel.

Unlike some brackets available , these side arms cannot be bent by hand, but were folded in a fly press, so they will not move or spread.  I have even tested their strength by hanging an extremely heavy, very large vice from one that I fixed to a fence post, ( see photo below).

The metal showing is finished in black.

They are attractive, and strong, and as you can see, fit all manner of instruments with no adjusting necessary.

Please note, some electric guitars have assymetrical heads, so may not hang from the bracket in the same way as acoustic guitars.

Customers do tell me that they use them, so please make your own mind up on their suitabilty by inspection of your guitar head.

They come with two screws and wall plugs. This is a safer option than a 'one screw' fixing type of bracket.

If you are fitting into a hollow cavity, such as plasterboard, it would be wise to purchase special cavity fixings at your local DIY store.

The postage is dictated by the quality and weight of materials used in construction. Therefore, postage (New Royal mail rates as of April '11) for one will be £2.15 (Actual postage plus cost of jiffy bag and bubblewrap), 2nd class.  Please add 50p for each extra bracket up to 4 brackets, but a fifth bracket is post free, as it falls in the same weight catagory as four brackets. Be sure to insert the postage figure of £3.65 in the postage column if ordering five, as the checkout system does not pick up on this further discount.

Some people prefer their bowlback mandolins to hang away from the wall. If you prefer this option, take a look at the 'long-reach' mandolin/ violin / viola/ holders pictured just below the standard brackets. Please check my other listings, as they are always available.
