You may have seen the Phat Sam Taylor Custom Shop flugel on the face book page. Its now ready to find a loving owner. Plays every bit as good as a regular Phat Boy flugel. We have really pushed the boundries on this instrument. Its both stunning to look at and a pleasure to play. The theme is obvious Americana. The artwork is done in Candies so is thinner than you might think. There is a fine sparkle applied as well so when the light hits it it not only glows, its sparkles to. The stunning artwork is hand airbrushed to exquisite quality and detail by Ty Lawler at Pageant Paintwork. Other custom touches are the pearl inlays to finger buttons AND bottom caps. These have been made to side vent so valve feel is unaffected. The valve section has regular instrument lacquer applied so the instrument can be held while minimizing the risk of damage to the artwork. It goes without saying that a horn like this will need special care, but I'm sure whoever buys it will treat it very carefully. You can have any mouthpiece size of your choice included in the price. Carriage to anywhere is also included.I have an alligator leather Wiseman case specially cut for a Phat Boy flugel and a regular Taylor trumpet.
